Hello Everyone,
I'm back for another spotlight on one of you, our blog readers! It's been fun getting to know some of you and seeing your projects. Please join me in welcoming Shannon Hager!
Hello Everyone! My name is Shannon. I am an Air Force wife and Mommy of 4. My husband and I met in high school and have been together ever since. We are currently stationed at Beale AFB, CA, just outside Sacramento. I have been blessed with the opportunity to stay home with our little ones. Carson is 6 and will be starting 1st grade. Cooper is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten. Emma, my princess is 4. My baby Parker just turned 2. They keep me busy. They love having their picture taken so I never run out of pictures or stories to scrapbook.
I have been scrapbooking since my senior year of high school, so about 10 years. I love this hobby and wish I had more time to devote to my growing stash. I also love photography, baking, taking my kids on little adventures and spending time with my husband.
Shannon had the idea quite a few weeks ago of doing a project to celebrate the 10 weeks of summer. At that time it was the first week of summer, and we had a hard time connecting with each other to get the project posted and in its final stage. When I selected Shannon her idea was just that, and idea. I loved her idea and I am actually glad that we waited until the end of summer to show it to you, as we are able to display her cute album! Correct me if I'm wrong Shannon, but I do believe the original idea was for a weekly layout in scaled down form possibly 8x8 or 6x6. As you will see below Shannon took her great idea but adapted it to her busy life with 4 kids. I love not only her idea originally, but I love her flexibility with it and the final results that fit into her life and her time schedule. Isn't that such a plus in scrapping?? Here is what Shannon had to say about her project:
With so many adventures this summer I thought it would be great to make a little mini album to hold our memories. I decided on our “Summer 2010 Top 10”. Each page has a place for 2, 2x2 pictures and a place to journal. I wanted more space for journaling than space for pictures. I thought it would be nice to be able to tell more of the story. With a few more weeks of summer we still have time for more adventures. I will wait until the end of summer to pick our favorite adventures. On my personal blog I have been journaling every day this year. Once I decided on our top 10 adventures all I have to do is look back at the blog for my journaling. I hope you enjoy my mini album and I have to say THANK YOU so much for this opportunity!
So without further ado here's a peak :
We love this idea and think it is a great way to capture clusters of memories especially in those busy times of year like summer! I bet you all have tons of favorite memories from this summer, why don't you give Shannon's idea a try!
Thank you to all of you loyal readers out there that I know read this blog. The blog has become extremly quiet over the last couple months. I read the blog every day, it is on my daily list of favorites. It is hard for me to comment every day as I read about 80 blogs per day but I do enjoy seeing everyone's work.

Shannon, what a great idea! How practical to be able to go back and read your journaling on the blog and then use it in your mini-album:)
