art inspiration

a few years ago, I used to do a weekly art inspiration challenge on another website. I still love using art pieces from time to time. Art is wonderful for inspiration for color, pattern and type among any other things.

Check out what some of the other design team members and I did with some art pieces I found on the internet:

Elizabeth and Rebekah both used the same piece. I love how their interpretations are so different even when using the same piece!

(elizabeth-here is what elizabeth said about how she was inspired by the piece: I was inspired by the green colour and also the bold title over the picture. (I also started the title with I/we think ...))

(rebekah. here is what she says about how she was inspired by the piece: I love the cut out image and the letters overlapping the image.  I also took the journaling prompt "I think" from the inspiration piece as well.)

also, in a funny coincidence, Monica and I were both inspired by the same TWO pieces!

Oh, how funny Shelby! I almost made a layout inspired by the Dali piece, but changed my mind since I couldn't find the right photo. :-)
