Hello Peeps,
I think I am a bit old to use that word peeps, at least my son may say.. but in my attempt to still feel young I don't care, hows that? :). So it's been a very interesting week. As many of you know for financial and personal reasons with my son we had to opt out of this year's CHA summer show. Without whining too much I have to tell you it has killed me knowing it is going on without me. I did quite a bit of ordering before it started and I thought I was covered, but I still feel as if I'm missing out on so much. My husband reminds me that the past 4 shows I've been iritated that when I got there I had already seen and ordered so much already that I almost felt it wasn't worth the extra travel expenses. I do feel though that there is definitely an experience I'm missing out on. I felt for so long as if the trips were just work, and they were losing the funness, but this may have been what it took to make me not take it for granted anymore! I guess I just expected them all to be like that overwhelming euphoria I felt going to my first CHA in Atlanta in 2005, so very long ago!
I've been trying to navigate things through the internet, but I have to admit that tests my patience. That is an ironic statement coming from an internet store owner.. uugh. While I appreciate all those sneak peek sites out there I'm finding too many of them have a little bit of this here, and a little bit of that somewhere else. As a store owner and one with orders to place that's been hard, I would rather have it set out right in front of me saying here is what this manufacturer has, here is the order form, now decide what you want. My thanks are most sincere to those wholesalers that took the time to do that. I love them, and have to admit they got my first dollars however few they may seem these days.
Like I said, I'm going to keep my whining to a minimum, as I know there are many of you that would like to attend a CHA, and haven't yet! I'm going to start a list of what I've ordered. Keep in mind that I have seen things I would like to order, but as of yet I can't seem to get a way to do that without being there. So those orders will be listed on the second list as ones I will order as soon as I can. Please feel free to share with me anything you don't see that you think you would like, or that I absolutely need to look at. Remember you are my eyes and ears, and if you shop here and enough of you agree, I most definitely will do my best to bring it in! In fact, right now over on the facebook page I'm taking links from customers with their favorite items to win a $25.00 voucher to the store. I will also take comments and links here and pick a winner from all of you this weekend after the show is over. $25 could come in really handy in the next couple of months don't you think?
Here is a list of orders I have placed so far, I have no idea on ship dates as that info I usually get in person at the shows:
My Little Shoebox -- it is here already, I just can't seem to get ahold of the images until Helen gets back from CHA
Basic Grey -- I've ordered all of the new paper collections and many of the embellies at go with them
Glitz -- Without looking most of the new collections and embellies
Jenni Bowlin -- I didn't order paper for this line, their paper has not been selling well for me, so if you really want it please speak up. I did however order tons of the new embellies
MME -- Most of the new collections, I do believe there was a Christmas line I did not order, possibly one of the Halloween lines, that was weeks ago and it's all blending together!
AC -- my guy Jared paid me a visit 2 weeks ago or more, and it seems like a great deal of the new AC will be finding a home in my store!
Pink Paislee-- All of the new collections and many of the accessories that go with them
Prima-- A mishmash of there ever growing available product line. This is a company that if you want something specific you should speak up, there is SOOOOOOOO much to choose from!
Crate-- I bought it all. I do believe Restoration is one of the favorite things I have seen!
Imaginsce-- they had a fall line I purchased several weeks ago
Studio Calico -- Elementary, new embellies, mists, etc.
Making Memories -- Portions of the Valentine, Reverie, Christmas and Halloween Lines
Bella -- Everything from Sunny Happy Skies, Hello Beautiful , Midterm, and One Fall Day
Maya Road -- Bits and pieces of lots of different things. I am remembering mini rose ribbon ,and more Kraft envelopes the most, but there is alot in their line, and much of it was ordered
Cosmo -- Togetherness I believe? The family ish line, I really liked that one, I did order parts of the other 2 lines as well and the new mini alphas
7 Gypsies -- paper and rubons are already in the store, there are still many items to come
Now here is my items I know I will order when I can:
Doodlebug, I've liked most of what I've seen online
Websters -- always a must
Lily Bee -- I love all of this as well and it's a must that you all buy up goodies from my girl Kristen!
October Afternoon-- this is always a must, but I've yet to see too much from them online. if you have please please link me up!
Girl's Paperie -- I haven't seen anything of there's yet, but I love Margie's work so I'm pretty sure she'll have something I like. Link me up if you've seen it!!
Sassafras -- just waiting on an order form :)
Here is my "on the fence" list, so tell me what you think:
Bo Bunny's new collections
Fancy Pants
Graphic 45
Jillibean, although I haven't seen too much so this may be moving to the list above quickly!
LYB
And the rest girls, I haven't seen yet, so fill me in on anything I've missed.
This post is getting incredibly long, but I'd also like to mention that we are on the mission of clearing out stock again. We are all in the gear of thinking "new" but I know alot of you prefer to think "deal." There's a little bit of everything here :) You may have noticed the specials section was empty for a couple of days as I finally got it cleaned out and moved to our new clearance section. Here are a few things I've added in the past couple of days:
All Sweetwater, paper is .20, stickers and journaling cards 65% off and MORE!
All Dreamstreet -- paper .10-.30 cents each, a few stickers and chipboards left priced to clear!
My Minds Eye Nightlight and Spooked -- quarter a sheet paper, kits and diecuts over 50% off
My Minds Eye Snowed in and Be Merry
There will be much, much more including alot more MME, Heidi Grace, Prima, Sei, and the list goes on and on an on. I'll be trying to throw as much stuff on special as I can before new stuff starts arriving. I'll post links on this blog as things go in the section, but I can't promise that will be done each time something is listed. The best way to not miss out on these deals is to check SPECIALS daily. Remember you can check out your order anytime (no matter how small) and ask that it be held until your boxes are large enough for shipment or even until you reach free shipping. Please pass this on to your friends that may like to stock up on deals, as most of this stuff is way below what I paid for it in the day! My loss is your gain, we need cash to bring in the new :)
Thank you so much reading, remember enter yourself to win the voucher if you haven't already on facebook. You just need to link me up to your favorite new releases. I'll count up to 5 comments per person.
Have a super rest of your week!
XO
Jill

Hi Jill! It looks like you have already ordered a lot of the stuff I am looking forward to. I will buy anything Maya Road (especially the flowers, envelopes and new doilies) http://mayaroad.typepad.com/mayaroad/2010/07/maya-r.html Prima is another favourite, the blooms and embellishments more than the papers and the Websters new embellishments are cute.
I'd also love to see you stock Melissa Frances (www.melissafrances.com)...even if it was the older stuff and not all the new bits I would still buy it, as it is impossible to buy in the UK...and kinda tricky to find online in general.
Thanks for ordering the new 7 gyspies and the AC...and thanks for asking us what we want to see! Stephanie x

One more post. Love, love the Organza ribbon and new pins, resin blossoms, pleated trims, bingo markers from Maya Road:

Thank you for also breaking up packages and offering us a choice of an entire package or just ONE set of something. LOVE that option that you offer!

Another comment, a good place online that I have found that has had pictures of most everything that was being released is the Scrap Review. It keeps you from looking all over different sites. They post everything in one place. They have been posting tons of stuff each day for the last three weeks, you can check it out at.......www.thescrapreview.com/

I am liking what you have ordered but you definitely need to order some Jillibean Soup. I love their new Atomic Soup line, Pasta Fagoli line, and XMas Christmas Soup line, they also came out with the corrugated alphas in red and blue. You can see all the lines and matching embellies on their blog, you may have to scroll down as they posted different lines each day lat week.....http://jillibeansoup.typepad.com/

I'm a dyed in the wool Webster's and Basic Grey girl. Other than that I will definitely buy all of the October Afternoon Seaside Retreat and Crate's new school and restoration collections when you get them in. I didn't care for any of the Prima papers this time around but always love their embellies. And Maya Road... must have the leaf and pumpkin chipboard albums.
Thanks for the list Jill. Amy Tara

I really would like to see Primas 6x6 pp pads in the store (+all stuff you are able to order from them:D). Pink Paislys minialbums looked really nice.

Thanks for the update and asking us what we would like to see in the store:) I also would like to see Melissa Frances stuff in the store. I plan to buy the new reciepe album, stickers and the other things going with it. WP NETTING, RIBBONS and those small BEAUTIFUL flowers made in resin or plastic material is a must have for me. I think MR also had some small resinflowers that looked sooo nice. MR fence minialbum and the sewing machine album and their very nice ribbons is also on my list.

And how about the colorful new line of Studio Calico? You can find some sneak peaks of it overhere: http://www.studiocalico.com/forums/topic/24191 . Have fun checking it out. Hugs, Wendy.

I really love the bo bunny lines...especially whoo-ligans and winter joy...they are truly the cutest! But you have pretty much all the ones I like that I've preview so far. Maybe this one from EK Success...its an American Girl line that would be perfect for my daughter... http://www.eksuccessbrands.com/CHA_Sneak_Peek__1__American_Girl_Crafts_and_K_Company.htm

Wow! You've covered most of my faves already! I was really happy to see you've got the new Glitz lines, Crate Paper and I love the 7 Gypsies Conservatory.
I do love two of the new Kaisercraft lines which I haven't seen mentioned: Secret Bird Society
http://www.kaisercraft.net/products/collections/secret-bird-society.html
and Lush
http://www.kaisercraft.net/products/collections/lush.html
The new We R Memory Keepers Christmas line is very cute too - Merry January

Finally - just wondering if you'll be getting any of the new KI Memories stitched cardstock or the Tim Holtz Idealogy collage stickers?
Posted by: Jane D | July 29, 2010 at 09:50 AM
I love what you've already listed!!!
I do love the Fancy Pants and the Bo Bunny stuff!
I would gobble up everything Melissa Frances if you were to start ordering from them. I can't find it anywhere and it's always been a favorite of mine. Now that they are in the states, I hear it's easy to order from them.
I am always having to buy adhesive from other stores and would love if you would carry it here. I go through tons of Helmar products, including liquid scrap dots, craft glue and quick dry 450.
I'm biased, but Petaloo's new flowers are incredible and well priced. And, of course, CI has a ton of great stuff coming out!!
I love Teresa Collins' new stuff. I love the new Anna Griffin Halloween and Christmas lines.
Punky Sprouts has some adorable canvas embellishments, little spirals you can roll up into flowers and little banners.

Great input ladies, I need to check some more things out! Natty I'm sure Echo park will have a christmas line, they release monthly, so there is always something good to find there! Do you facebook? I think that is the best way to see their releases, they always post pictures on their fan page.
Ok..off to look for more stuff you've suggested :)
Posted by: Jill | July 29, 2010 at 07:12 AM
Well Jill, I don't know how to link! :) Yes, I'm even farther behind then you but I do want the new WP netting and those little Whimsies flowers that look like they're made of clay or something like that. I think others have come out with those types of little flowers too so if there's a company others want more then count me in. I love lots of the WP lines this time around but I'll take whatever everyone else wants as long as you order some.
Haven't really had time to look around and I've already sent you a list so I'll leave it at this.
Just think how much more fun you'll have at CHA Winter! ;)

OMG you covered more than enough. I love MME and Crate looks nice too :) Popping off to check the bargains!
Posted by: Lou | July 29, 2010 at 05:57 AM
I'm so glad you went with all of the Crate! I really like their Christmas line this year - I think I will be needing all of that line, as the only other Christmas line that I've rather liked is the Basic Grey one... no KI Christmas stuff this year by the looks of it... oh well. ;o)
Heck knows if OA will bring one out, I wonder if the lack of one at CHA is because they have always been so late in getting their Xmas lines out to stores before Christmas and they've just decided not to do it this year. A shame if so, as they have been very nice despite the wait! hehe
I was a bit disappointed with Cosmo, Togetherness is the only new line of theirs I liked. Ho-hum, I may get it as a collection pack plus add-ons as each of the papers worked for me. :o)
Does Echo Park have a Christmas/winter line coming out? If so, would be interested to see it... their sneaks seem hard to find!
Anyway I shall be stalking the blog with interest to see what you add to the list, I'm certainly due a spree for new stash!
Posted by: Natty | July 29, 2010 at 04:48 AM
How much of the Webster's embellies will you order? I'm dying to get those little whimsies and the netting!
From Maya Road I'm really hoping to see the bingo markers (both the Number and the Motif ones), and some of their chipboard goodies. Especially the mini chipboard album shaped as a sewing machine :) I love that their stash are so affordable!
I really hope that you'll order some papers from Graphic 45, especially the CHristmas Past Deluxe Editon and Steampunk Debutante (if you get them, I'll buy one of each paper from this two lines).
I'm not a big fan of LYB, Fancy Pants and Jillibean, when it comes to Bo Bunny I'd like some of their embellies (especially the note pads), but it's not a must have.
Do you think you'll order the Sew Easy tools from WeRMemory Keepers? I love'em all, but especially the basic one, and Cross, Zig Zag, Burst and Scallop... Well, and Carpet looks exciting as well :) How much will they cost? Sewing on layouts is a big hit right now, so I think perhaps (if the price is right) that you'll have no problems selling them... But then again, you know the market better than me :)
Oh, and thanks for asking us customers what we want!

I don't know that I have to have all of Jillibean Soups stuff, but these journaling sprouts are one of my faves! I'll take one of each please. ;)

Thanks for the update on what you have on order.
I just wanted to put my vote in for Fancy Pants...I hope it gets moved from the 'on the fence' list to the 'buying' list:) Especially the 'It's your Day' collection...I like them all but this one is my favorite and one that I am planning on adding to my collection.
Here is the only link I can find for it: http://missfancypants.typepad.com/little_miss_fancy_pants/2010/07/new-release-its-your-day.html
