From what I understand Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday in some countries. (We celebrate our mothers the last Sunday in May.) That's why I'm here to bring you some project ideas on the matter. I hope you find them useful!
I think Mother's Day should be celebrated each and every day. I'm always up for some yummy breakfast prepared by my children's hands!
If you live far from your own mother, see to it that she's taken care of during the day, or at least that she gets some dinner company
Write a "Things I've learned from you"-list
Make a donation for some project that supports women in developing countries in honor of your own mother
Give your mother a cute necklace with the names of all her grand children (there are several cute ones to be found)
Make a special mini album with memories from your childhood including your mother
Make a bunch of cards that your mother can use for various occasions
Put your stickers to use! I love these 3-dimensional flowers from K & Company. This is a card I think my mother would love to receive.
Make a yearly layout about your own children to put in the family album.
A card that could work either as a card for the modern mother or a married couple (I masked the space for the American Crafts chipboard mouth and wrote a quote from the Bible, often used in wedding ceremonies).
Use those clear stamps! I love this one, even if I don't know where it's from. I wrote "A watching eye" and I think it would work as a Mother's Day card.
This is the card I will give my own mother. (I hope she doesn't read this blog. If you do, forget about it, Mamma!) "Happiness is catching a small glimpse of eternity." is what it says. I used some Prima clear stamps (angel and butterfly), Prima flowers, patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, self adhesive pearls from Prima, ProMarkers and glitter glue.
This is a birthday card with a modern twist. The idea could be used for a Mother's Day card as well. (Distress ink, BoBunny and 7 Gypsies patterned paper, leaf gold, fluid chalk and some gold shimmer; Perfect Pearls from Ranger)
Happy scrapping, and Happy upcoming Mother's Day!
