{one minute monday}

Good Monday Morning everyone! It is Elizabeth here, at the chilly start of a new week. Hope you are all keeping toasty warm, wherever you are!

I scrapbook in lots of different sizes, I started out doing exclusively 8x11 albums, but eventually I got creatively stumped and needed to try different sizes. I started doing an 8x8 'All about Me' album, just to tamper in the -square- layouts without committing to the HUGE (atleast that is how I saw them!) 12x12 size.  The different sizes and orientations (8x11 landscape are my favourite) have definitely brought back some creative juices and now I even have a couple completed 12x12 albums (although I swore that would never happen a few years ago :P). The cool thing about having an 8x11 and 12x12 album going for the same individual makes creating a layout much easier. I often start my layouts with a 8x11 size cardstock and if once I start creating it seems to be too squished, then i simply put the 8x11 layout-in-progress onto a 12x12 cardstock and keep creating. I love the freedom of making my page however I want to do it at that moment, instead of worrying about my album consistency.

Here is a layout that i was thinking to start as an 8x11, but with the photos being so large, I quickly decided to make it a 12x12 instead.

I am not so sure that this is actually a 'tip' for the week, maybe it is just a glimpse into my layout chaos, or just a peek at my cute baby, but regardless I hope you are inspired to do something creative this week. Cheers!
